For over 20+ years, Joey Gaydos Jr. has been playing his style of guitar on stage, on screen and in the studio. From Detroit to Tokyo, he has worked in numerous styles and genres, in capacities ranging from hired session player to cowriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist. Starting in the womb listening to his father Guitar Joey Gaydos' group with MC5 legend Rob Tyner (who proclaimed young Joey would "be a great drummer"), Joey's passion has always been all things music, cutting his teeth on home made cassette mixtapes from another Detroit legend and mentor, Cub Koda, that laid out the history of blues and rock and roll. First seen worldwide playing his guitar as "Zach" in the Paramount feature film School of Rock, Joey has also provided lead guitar for artists such as Paradime, Stereo Jane, Uncle Kracker, Keri Lynn Roche, Never Sorry and many more. He is currently working on solo music, doing sessions and leading groups of varying size. Steeped in blues, melody, deep groove and psychedelia, Joey continues to search and release the sounds truthful and inspiring to him.
